Abstract:
A clamping fastener with a clamping head (40) is attached to a clamped imaging component (30,32). A load-sensing washer (38) is positioned between the clamping head and the clamped imaging component. It comprises a pressure sensor (42) and a wireless transmitter (44) communicating with the sensor and transmitting a fastener load value (48) received from the sensor. A wireless receiver (52) remotely receives the fastener load value. A processor (54) communicating with the wireless receiver has a logic which monitors the fastener load value in real time. An independent claim is included for the method of monitoring fastener load in a medical imaging assembly.
