Abstract:

To provide a wireless resource assignment method for selecting mobile stations of a sender and a destination so as to avoid directive beams directed to each mobile station from being interfered when employing directive antennas and assigning a wireless resource to the selected mobile stations.

The base station 10 of this invention adopting the directive antenna 11 whose directivity can be adaptively changed for a transmission/ reception antenna so as to form a plurality of directive beams to a plurality of mobile stations includes: a position estimate section 19 for estimating a position of each mobile station on the basis of directive information of the directive antenna; a reception quality estimate section 22 for estimating reception quality of each mobile station; a transmission preceding arithmetic section 21 for calculating the transmission precedence of packets going to be sent; a determination section 16 for determining the number and direction of the directive beam to be formed on the basis of the reception quality of each mobile station, the position of each mobile station and the transmission precedence of packets; and an assignment control section 13 for assigning a plurality of the determined directive beams to a plurality of the mobile stations.
