To solve a problem in which it is general that a wireless LAN is connected by detecting an access point around it by performing channel search or inputting information to be a key in advance, however, treatment when a plurality of access point exist becomes complicated and is difficult to understand, when connecting the wireless LAN.

A wireless communication part 13 calculates location information from a base station server and acquires wireless LAN access point information suitable for the location information. The acquired wireless LAN access point information is stored in a storage part 12 as a data base and related with the location information. A portable terminal 1 sets the wireless LAN based on the data base of the storage part 12 to perform a connecting operation.
