To provide a wireless transmission method by which a transmission rate (modulation method and convolution coding rate) used for communication can be specified between wireless transmitters and to provide the wireless transmitter.
In this wireless transmission method, in the case of building up a wireless network by utilizing the wireless transmitters (#1-#7), they exchange prescribed packets (QRS-1, 2, 3) and (RRS-1, 2, 4, 5) to select a communication method utilized for the communication with the respective transmitters (#1, #2, #4-#7), then the transmission rate (modulation system, coding rate) is set according to rate setting (SRS) sent from a request station (#3) so as to decide a communication method used for communication and a method for conducting efficient communication can be obtained with a concerned transmitter.
