To provide a wireless transmitter that switches to the reception of a priority channel signal without causing trouble to a user of a wireless receiver on the occurrence of communication using the priority channel.
The wireless transmitter defines a first partial period as a period when voice data are actually transmitted and a second partial period as a period when transmission of the voice data is temporarily interrupted. A signal generating means 31 generates a non-priority channel signal including data related to point of time information for the start and the end of the second partial period occurring firstly after a present point of time and the voice data. A signal transmission means 32 transmits the non-priority channel signal for the first partial period. An inspection means 33 scans the priority channel for the second partial period to inspect the presence/absence of a priority channel signal as a signal related to the priority channel. A transmission/reception switching means 34 completes transmission operations of the non-priority channel signal and starts the reception operation of the priority channel signal when the priority channel signal exists.
