Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely carry out cooling control for expediting temperature rise in a block when an engine is warmed up, with a simple structure.
CONSTITUTION: The water jacket 2 of a head side is connected to the discharging side of a pump 5. A cooling water passage is provided, which is led from the water jacket 2 of the head side to the pump 5 bypassing a radiator 6 through a thermostant valve 9, and a cooling water passage is provided, which is led from the water jacket 2 of the head side to the water jacket 4 of a block side and then to the pump 5 through the radiator 6 and the thermostat valve 9. It is switched, so that the radiator 6 is bypassed by the thermostat valve 9 when an engine is warmed up, and cooling water is circulated only in the water jacket 2 of the head side. After warmining-up of the engine, cooling water is circulated through the water jacket 2, the water jacket 4, the radiator 6, and the pump 5 in order.
