Abstract:
To solve the problem that in a wood connecting structure using a conventional wood connecting fitting set consisting of a battledore bolt and a nut, when the wood becomes thin due to aging, looseness is likely to occur in the connecting portion of the two woods and the strength of the connecting weakens.SOLUTION: A battledore bolt 1, a guide washer 2, a fixed washer 3, a spacer fitting 4 interposed between the two washers 2 and 3, and a nut 5 constitute a set. An outward projecting plate 43 is formed on the spacer fitting 4, and a tapered surface 44 is provided at the distal end of the outward projecting plate 43 so as to be inclined downward toward the inside. An inward projecting plate 33 is formed on the fixed washer 3, and the inward projecting plate 33 is formed with an inward downwardly inclined tapered surface 34 that is in sliding contact with the tapered surface 44 of the spacer fitting 4. In the assembled state, when a gap is created between the guide washer 2 and the fixed washer 3 due to the thinning of the wood, the spacer metal fitting 4 moves downward due to its own weight (about 50 g) and the repulsive force of a plate spring 6, thereby exhibiting the wedge function.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
