Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood screw capable of discharging wood chips generated in screwing the wood screw into lumber, and being easily manufactured, and a manufacturing method of the wood screw.SOLUTION: Provided is a wood screw 5 characterized in that on a surface of a nail body 52 having: an insertion end 521 and a head end 522 separate from each other in a vertical axial line L; and a screw thread 53 spirally projecting from the surface along the vertical axial line L, a spiral groove 54 is formed in a concave manner, which continuously spirally extends from the insertion end 521 side to the head end 522 side at a predetermined distance so as to pass even through the screw thread 53; and the spiral groove 54 has a bottom surface corresponding to a bottom side, and a two lateral surfaces corresponding to two lateral sides so that a cross section orthogonal to its extension direction has the bottom side, and the two lateral sides extending so as to obtain an obtuse angle formed between themselves and the bottom side from both ends of the bottom side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
