Title:
INTEGRATED CONTROL SYSTEM OF ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3206152
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase engine torque surely in a high-speed turning area by surely improving fuel consumption at a low-speed turning area at the time when a shift pattern of the fuel consumption first is selected.
CONSTITUTION: A variable intake system consisting of an intake control valve 23 or the like is installed for selecting torque characteristics of an engine 1, and changeover control is carried out by an engine computer 51. This intake system is provided with an engine controller 31 being shift-controlled by an engine control computer 52, and its shift pattern is made selectable to a fuel consumption-first pattern or acceleration-first pattern with a switch 49. The engine control computer 52 controls the engine controller 31 for shift increasing on the basis of a fuel consumption-first pattern before the engine 1 is selected to a high-speed torque characteristic from a low-speed one at a time when the fuel consumption-first pattern is selected. Therefore, when the fuel consumption-first pattern is selected, the engine controller 31 is a little earlier shifted at the low-speed turning area, and thereby it is selected to the high-speed torque characteristic from the low-speed torque one according to a rise in engine speed.
