To provide a wooden fuel heating system capable of shortening ignition time by providing a wooden fuel crushing part for crushing a wooden solid fuel, in regard to an igniting method for a wooden fuel heating system wherein the wooden solid fuel is brought in contact with a heat source such as an electric heating bar for ignition but the wooden solid fuel formed into a cylindrical shape having 6 mm of diameter and 10 - 40 mm of length has bad heat transmitting efficiency because of limitation of contact area with the heat source and takes a long time for ignition.

The wooden fuel heating system can shorten ignition time of the wooden fuel by providing a carrying route, which is provided in a casing of a fuel carrying device for carrying the wooden solid fuel, with an opening/closing type branch opening, a wooden fuel crushing part for crushing the wooden solid fuel after dividing in the branch opening to generate crushed wooden fuel, and a crushed wooden fuel supplying opening for supplying the crushed wooden fuel generated by the wooden fuel crushing part to a combustion unit.
