To provide a wooden post preventing decay and a lowering of strength and requiring little time for construction of a post foundation.

The wooden post is provided with a wooden post body 2; a waterproof layer 4 attached to the lower end face of the post body 2; a metal cylinder body 3 with its upper part 3a fitted to the lower end of the post body 2; a reinforcement 5 with upper parts 5b inserted and fixed into the post body 2 and projected downward from the lower end face; and a mortar solidified body 6 filled in the cylinder body 3 and solidified integrally with an intermediate part 5c of the reinforcement 5. A lower part 5d of the reinforcement 5 is projected downward from the mortar solidified part 6.
