To provide a woody material grinder capable of grinding the woody material into woodmeal with a particle diameter of 200 μm or less in a comparatively shorter time and at a low cost.
This grinder grinds the woody material inside a spring-supported grinding cylinder with the help of a grinding medium under the vibration effect of the grinding cylinder and is equipped with the grinding cylinder housing a rod as the grinding medium, a supply aperture opened in the downstream part of the grinding cylinder, a discharge aperture opened on both sides, in the diametral direction, of the downstream part of the grinding cylinder and a plurality of air feeder apertures opened at a specified interval at least under the grinding cylinder. The woody material supplied into the grinding cylinder from the supply aperture is ground by the rod, while controlling the amount of air or hot air forced into the grinding cylinder from the air feeder apertures. The grinds are discharged from the discharge aperture.
