Primary combustion air A1 is supplied from below the ceramic layer 30 to burn the wooden pellets while letting them flow to such extent that the wooden pellets F on the ceramic layer 30 or the wooden pellets F and the ceramic particles 30a are not scattered and scatter burned ash left after combustion to the outside of the ceramic layer 30 together with combustion gas G.
