Abstract:

To provide a woolen structure having both of durability and resilience, hardly causing a felting phenomenon and excellent in performance resistant to washing.

A woolen yarn is formed by applying oxidation treatment with an oxidant to wool collected from New Zealand-grown sheep and then by spinning the wool into yarn. A cloth is formed by treating the woolen yarn with a neutral protease and then by weaving the woolen yarn in the usual manner. A woolen fabric is produced by dyeing the cloth with an acid dye.
