Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent an emphasized character from deteriorating in quality while holding a processing speed fast.
CONSTITUTION: This word processor has an input part 7 for inputting data, a 1st vector data storage part 1 where a character pattern is represented as a coordinate series of points on its contour, a dot data generation part 5 which converts vector data to generate dot data representing the character pattern by dots on its contour lines and at parts encircled with the contour lines, and an output part 8 which outputs a specified character according to the dot data. Further, this word processor has a emphasis width specification part 2 which specifies emphasis width when a character is emphasized, an emphasis vector data generation part 3 which performs the coordinate conversion of the vector data based on the emphasis width, and perform coordinate conversion for rounding the corner parts when the angle between mutually adjacent vectors on a contour line is less than a specific angle on the side encircled with the contour lines to generate emphasis vector data representing the character pattern of the character after emphasis as a coordinate series of points on the contours, and a 2nd vector data storage part 9 stored with the emphasis vector data.
