Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the maintenance of a control panel 1 from a pit in an elevator in which the control panel 1 and the like are mounted at relatively low positions like at the floor height of the lowest floor inside the elevator shaft.
SOLUTION: The foldable work bench consists of a support part 3 fixed on the wall 2 of the elevator shaft below the control panel 1, a work part 10 one side of which is pivotally attached to the support part 3 with shafts 11a and 11b, a first ladder part 20 one side of which is pivotally attached to the other side of the work part 10 with shafts 12a and 12b, and a second ladder part 30 which is pivotally attached to the other side of the first ladder part 20 with shafts 34a and 34b. The work bench is usually folded as in the Fig. 2. During the maintenance work, the work bench is held with the work part 10 kept horizontal and the first and second ladder parts 20 and 30 vertical by rotating them around the shafts.
