Abstract:
To provide a work bench provided with a handrail frame pivoted on a working floor and rotatable between a standing position and a horizontal position, which avoids a situation in which the handrail frame cannot keep its standing position by disengagement of an engaging piece from an engaging pin caused by elastic deformation of a spring of an engaging device due to an impact generated on the handrail frame upon standing.SOLUTION: A work bench is provided with: first engaging pins P1 fixed on a handrail frame 52; second engaging pins P2 attached on a work floor 51 parallel to the first engaging pins P1 when the handrail frame is at a standing position 52A; and a connection device CL connecting the first and second engaging pins in a parallel state, wherein the connection device is provided with: engaging pieces 61 engageable with the first and the second engaging pins; connection members 62 with which the engaging pieces are slidably connected within a specific range; a spring 63 arranged between the connection member and the engaging piece to energize the engaging piece in an engaging direction with the first engaging pins; and a holding mechanism 60 capable of switching to an active state where the connection member is held at a specific position so as to allow the engaging piece to be held at engaging positions with the first and the second engaging pins with energized force of the spring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
