PURPOSE: To prevent a clamping claw from hindering the mounting and removal of a work by a method wherein in the work clamp in which the clamping claw clamps the work from inside by coming in and out, the clamping claw is made movable vertically, inwardly and outwardly along a guide.
CONSTITUTION: When a pull plate 5 is moved downward by rotating a screw shaft 6, a tapered slide section 5a slides with a tapered slide section 7a of a clamping claw 7 so that the claw 7 moves outward. Further, when the tapered slide section 5a of the pull plate 5 is moved downward as it slides out from the tapered slide section 7a of the clamping claw 7, the clamping claw 7 is moved downward by being pulled by the pull plate 5 and clamps a work 21 with respect to a jack bolt 3. On the contrary, when the pull plate 5 is moved downward, the clamping claw 7 releases the work and moves to a position at which the clamping claw does not hinder the removal of the work.
