To give the next cutting indication to a steel working machine by a detector provided on a work classifying and housing device for detecting that it is almost filled to capacity and also to carry out workpieces being carried out and to try a continuous cutting work by housing workpieces after that in the other work classifying and housing device.
Workpieces W conveyed by a front vice device 13 are housed in a work classifying and housing device 15 through a kick-out device 11. This work classifying and housing device 15 is provided with a second detector 25 in a position close to the kick-out device 11 side, and is provided with a first work detector 31 at a distance of the dimension of two maximum workpieces plus some allowance away from the second work detector 25. When the first work detector 31 detects that the device is filled to capacity, cutting work of workpieces to be cut the next time is started. In this way, the continuous cutting work can be attained.
