Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a defective recording, reduce a waste ink amount to a minimum, and prevent the damage and the like of the recording head by reducing a recovery action of the recording head to a necessary minimum.
CONSTITUTION: Nozzles of numbers 1-512 are divided into 8 nozzle blocks by 64 nozzles. For every nozzle block, the number of ink delivery data in corresponding image data is integrated. When the integrated value becomes a predetermined number or more, a recording head recovery means is operated.
