Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the work head of a working machine, with which the tip of polyethylene pipe can be belled by simple mode.
SOLUTION: A head 66 consists of a buffer 55, which locates at the center of a die 52 having its outside covering pipe 51, and a flange 60, which is coaxial to the die 52 and the buffer 55 and installed slidably. The buffer 55 has a shaped lateral surface 81. A sealing member 5 is housed in the special seats 70 of the inner surface 53 of the die 52 and in the front end of the buffer 55 so as to perform relative action with the inner and outer surfaces 83 and 84 of pipe 51 in order to insert the pipe 51 under the state being sealed through the application of pressure into the head 66. The flange 60 is formed in an annular cavity 61, which fits to the tip part 62 of the end 50 of the pipe in opposite to the tip part 62, so as to be shaped in order to develop the striking surface 82 for the pipe 51.
