Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a workpiece in a carrier from dropping when the workpiece is carried in/out, and to prevent damage of the workpiece previously.SOLUTION: A double disk grinding is configured so that both sides of a workpiece W are ground by a pair of grinding stones while rotating the workpiece W by a carrier 7, wherein the workpiece is held under static pressure by a pair of static pressure pads 1, 2 and has a thin plate shape. When the workpiece W is sucked and attached to be carried in/out of the carrier 7 between both static pressure pads 1, 2 by carrying-in/out means 8, 9, the workpiece W in the carrier 7 is held among the carrying-in/out means 8, 9 and the right static pressure pad 2 and then while the workpiece W in the carrier 7 is held, the workpiece W in the carrier 7 is sucked and attached by the right static pressure pad 2 existing at an advance holding position X1.
