Abstract:
To inhibit entry of powder dust.SOLUTION: In a band saw 10, a motor 82 and a fan 88 are housed in a motor cover part 76A of a housing 72 and an outer intake port 76B for allowing cool air AR to flow thereinto is formed at the motor cover part 76A. A filter 78 is provided on an inner peripheral surface of a bottom wall of the motor cover part 76A and closes the outer intake port 76B. The filter 78 is formed into a sheet-like shape as a metallic mesh filter having hole parts. The structure allows the filter 78 to inhibit power dust, such as chips occurring during cutting, from entering the housing 72.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
