PURPOSE: To remove fine burrs by providing on a grinding wheel spindle stock a high pressure jet ejecting equipment which ejects the high pressure jet flow toward the surface to be ground of a work which is ground by a grinding wheel and blows fine burrs generated in grinding the work.
CONSTITUTION: A work W is rotated together with a main spindle by a main spindle driving motor, a motor 36 is started to discharge the high pressure coolant from a high pressure coolant feeding pump 37, and ejected as the jet flow from a plurality of jet nozzles 34. A grinding wheel spindle stock is advanced to the prescribed position, and a grinding wheel 22 is positioned to the position capable of grinding the work W to the diameter of finish. Successively, the table is traversed, and the work W is traverse ground. In this grinding operation, fine burn are generated on the ground surface of the work W, and the high pressure jet flow to be ejected from the jet nozzles 34 is ejected against the ground surface immediately after the work W is ground by the grinding wheel 22, and fine burrs generated during the grinding operation are blown and removed.
