Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work piece clamp device for a piston ring work machine able to accurately detect whether a clamped work piece is normal or abnormal.
SOLUTION: In a work piece clamp device for a piston ring work machine clamping a plurality of layered work pieces 16 by a pressure of liquid supplied to a liquid pressure cylinder 12 provided in at least one of upper/lower part work piece support means 10, 11 and working simultaneously an internal/ external peripheral surface of the work piece 16, the device is constituted by a clamp detection means (pressure switch) detecting clamp force of the work piece 16 from a pressure of liquid supplied to the liquid pressure cylinder 12, work piece detection means 45 detecting misclamp and clamp/unclamp of the work piece 16 from a stroke of a piston 12a provided in the liquid pressure cylinder 12, and a control means judging normality/abnormality by a signal from each detection means (pressure switch). In this way, by the clamp detection means and the work piece detection means 45, a clamp condition of the work piece can be accurately detected for whether in normality or abnormality.
