Abstract:
To provide a work-piece transport device that allows the positional detection of the work-piece by its simple design.SOLUTION: A de-palletization device 10 that de-palletizes a work-piece W mounted on a pallet P includes: a chuck 20 that holds the work-piece W; a transport mechanism 30 that moves the chuck 20; a controlling device 100 that controls the chuck 20 and the transport mechanism 30; and a laser sensor that measures the distance. The controlling device 100 measures the distance from the laser sensor to the work-piece W while horizontally displacing the laser sensor above the work-piece mounted on the pallet P and detects the end of the work-piece based on the measurement result. Thereafter, the controlling device 100 causes the chuck 20 to move based on the detected end of the work-piece and hold the work-piece W, conducting de-palletization.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
