The work position setting method is characterised in that the work mounting positions of the pallet 1 are captured as a plurality of groups A, B, etc. with a plurality of work mounting positions juxtaposed at a regular interval on a straight line in a specific direction as one group, the forefront coordinates X and Y, an interval δ, and the number of positions, are set as work mounting position information on the respective groups, the work mounting position is designated on the respective pallets, and the work is carried by successively moving a robot hand and a work table on the basis of such a preset value.
