To provide a work positioning device for a press machine by which the occurrence of wear or damage is extremely lessened, the precision and productivity of a press machining are stably secured and also the occurrence of noise is suppressed.

This device is provided with: a disk-shaped work holding member 41 having a circular outer peripheral surface 42; and a support shaft 35 for supporting a shaft hole 44 which is off-centered in the radial direction of the work holding member 41 freely rotatably on a guide member 27 in the state where a part 42a of the outer peripheral surface 42 of the work holding member 41 is protruded toward the side of a die face from the work guiding surface of the guide member 27 so that the edge Wb of the work W which can be placed on the surface 13 of a die face of the lower die main body 12 by the dead weight. The occurrence of wear or damage is lessened by reducing the load applied to the support shaft 35, thereby stably securing the precision and productivity of the press machining.
