PURPOSE: To save space in a reversing device for plate-like body such as outer covering material for a building by providing a pair of support arms swingably between horizontal and down positions, oscillating the body from the horizontal to lower positions while it is supported with one of the arms, and delivering it to the other arm at the lower position while reversing it, and then oscillating the other arm horizontally.
CONSTITUTION: While a support arm 11 is made horizontal and a support arm 12 is positioned at a lower standard position, a work 17 with its top face being set upside down, attracted/supported by an attracting device 24 is moved onto the arm 11. Next, a cylinder device 19 is contracted, and the arm 11 is oscillated to the lower normal position while the work 17 is engaged with a pawl 16 of the arm 12. After that, the load of work 17 is supported by the pawl 16 of the arm 12, the work 17 is pushed by a cylinder 21, and it is reversedly transferred to the arm 12 side. Then the arm 12 is made horizontal by a cylinder 20 and delivered to an attraction device 24. It is thus possible to save space.
