PURPOSE: To provide a work rotating device optimum for automatic assembly, etc., by providing a work attracting means attached to a rotatingly driven horizontal rotary shaft through a horizontal bar, for freely rotating a workpiece in an arbitrary shape.
CONSTITUTION: A work rotating device 64 is attached to the lower end of a piston rod 62 in an air cylinder 61 secured, in the vertical direction, to the center section of a horizontal support plate 60 which is secured to the lower ends of two support members 59 suspended from a conveyor device body. A rotary cylinder 68 is set on the top surface of a horizontal lower plate 67 which is attached by means of a support shaft 66 to an upper plate 65 carried by the rod 62. A horizontal support bar 79 is secured to rotary levers 79 at both ends of a rotary shaft 75 which is horizontally journalled to the lower plate 67 by means of bearings 74, and carries at its both ends slidable rods 83 to the front ends of which electromagnets 84 are secured. When the shaft 68a is rotated by driving the cylinder 68, torque is transmitted to the shaft 75 through bevel gears 77, 76, and therefore, the bar 79 and the electromagnets 84 are rotated.
