To provide a work stacking device which can easily convey a stack even in a considerably small space and has sufficiently superior productivity, and also provide a method of conveying works.

This work stacking device for sequentially stacking the works W continuously conveyed thereto in the form of a stack S includes a conveyor 5 for conveying the works W, a first automatic fork 1 having a first fork part 1a on which the works W conveyed by the conveyor 5 are temporarily placed, a second automatic fork 2 having a second fork part 2a on which the works W conveyed by the conveyor 5 are placed, and a discharging conveyor 6 which receives the stacked works W from the second fork part 2a. The stacked works W can be transferred from the first fork part 1a to the second fork part 2a.
