Abstract:
To provide a workpiece correction method capable of suppressing occurrence of flapping.SOLUTION: The present invention is directed to a workpiece correction method which includes a roll correction machine 1 in which a plurality of correction rolls 11 are arranged, and in which a long workpiece W is pushed forward while supporting its rear end part by a pushing member 23 to throw the long workpiece W into the roll correction machine 1. A support position by the pushing member is defined as a workpiece rear support position P2, a restriction position by a first correction roll 11 is defined as a workpiece correction entrance position P1, and a part from the P1 to the P2 of the workpiece W is defined as an un-input part W1. When abutting flapping restraint means to the un-input part W1, a length of the un-input part W1 when a secondary natural frequency fn of the un-input part W1 coincides with workpiece rotation speed Rn is defined as "L1". An abutting position with respect to the workpiece W by the flapping suppressing means is set in a range of (0.15×L1) to (0.35×L1) or (0.65×L1) to (0.85×L1) as a base point of the P1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
