PURPOSE: To provide the sufficient overload preventing function with a small dimension, as for a work transporting mechanism for feeding a work in the transport direction by a hook device.
CONSTITUTION: A work transporting mechanism is equipped with a guide shaft 1 which is arranged in parallel to the transfer direction (direction of arrow A), transport member 2 which can be shifted along the guide shaft 1, supported on the guide shaft 1, and is equipped with a feeding hook 3 for pushing a work W, and a driving member 4 which can be shifted along the guide shaft 1, sopported by the guide shaft 1, and is positioned on the side in the transport direction from the transport member 2, and the transport member 2 and the driving member 4 are joined by the joint force larger than the pushing force necessary for transporting the work W through the mutual approach. Further, a joint mechanism 6 for releasing the joint by the exfoliating force larger than the joint force between the transport member 2 and the driving member 4, and an actuator 5 for shifting the driving member 4 are provided.
