To provide a working apparatus and a working method which perform accurate positioning without taking a long time by facilitating visual positioning.

The working apparatus 11 includes a die 16, a punch 22 which is fit to the die 16 and a pressing means 15 for pressing the punch 22 toward the die 16. In the working apparatus 11, a part 12 to be pressed is arranged between the die 16 and the punch 22 and the part 12 to be pressed is press-worked with the punch 22 after positioning a positioning hole 12a provided on the part 12 to be pressed with respect to the center of the die 16. The working apparatus 11 further includes, above the part 12 to be pressed, a laser beam projecting means 27 for projecting a laser beam 26 toward the center of the die 16, and the part 12 to be pressed is press-worked with the punch 22 in a state where the laser beam 26 penetrates the positioning hole 12.
