The working device for the elevator pit comprises, at least, an oil buffer 5 erected on a pit bottom, a ladder 11 installed between a horizontal working stage 10 and the pit bottom 4A for movement up to the horizontal stage 10 installed around the oil buffer 5 using the oil buffer 5, and locking portions 12, 12A, 12B, 12C for leaning the ladder 11 between the horizontal stage 10 and a pit side wall 4B.
