PURPOSE: To easily and efficiently form a stereoscopic and lustrous pattern.

CONSTITUTION: An engraving means 12 is included in a working device. A holding body 14 is included in the engraving means 12. A engraving means consisting of a bar shape member 32, a connecting member 38, a holding member 44 and a making 50 provided on the holding body 14 in a state in which it is freely vertically shifted. A projecting part 50a is formed on the lower end of the making 50 corresponding to a unit pattern. The engraving means is energized by a spring 36 by which it is pushed out in the downward direction of the holding body 14. A shifting means consisting of a supporter member 24, a rocking member 26, a flange member 34, a supporting member 52, a pivoting axis member 54, a plate cam 56 and a handle 58, etc., is included in the engraving means 12. A striking member is moved upward by the shifting means, the spring 36 is compressed and the striking member is immediately energized downward. The engraving means 12 is successively and parallelly transferred by a transferring means consisting of a pantograph, etc., with a specific pitch.
