To provide a method of manufacturing working fluid for a heat transport system having a large surface tension gradient of the working fluid and excellent dispersion stability.
The method for manufacturing includes: an A process of preparing a plurality of metal nanoparticle preparation solutions combined with different types of polymer dispersion stabilizers having different weight-average molecular weights, and synthesizing a plurality of metal nanoparticles having different surface coating capacities by the polymer dispersion stabilizers in the chemical reduction method; a B process of preparing working fluid test solutions by mixing at least metal nanoparticles, water and alcohol having 4 or more of carbon numbers; a C process of measuring temperature dependence of surface tension by using the working fluid test solutions; a D process of selecting the working fluid test solution achieving the largest increase rate of the surface tension with respect to temperature rise in any temperature range out of a 40-80°C range in the measurement, and identifying the type and weight-average molecular weight of the polymer dispersion stabilizer used in the test solution; and an E process of preparing a metal nanoparticle solution using the identified polymer dispersion stabilizer and manufacturing working fluid.
