To improve overheat preventing performance of an engine.
This working machine is provided with an accelerator lever 24 for setting the number of revolutions of the engine 3, an operation detection means detecting whether a hydraulic actuator A for working is in an operation condition or not, a controller 23, and an overheat detection means detecting an overheat phenomenon of the engine 3 or its sign. By means of the controller 23, an engine speed regulation device B is operated so that the number of revolutions set by the accelerator lever 24 is attained when the operation condition is detected by the operation detection means, while the engine speed regulation device B is operated so that the number of revolutions of the engine 3 is reduced in prior to setting by the accelerator lever 24 when the operation condition is not detected by the operation detection means. If the overheat phenomenon is detected by the overheat detection means, the controller 23 operates the engine speed regulation device B so that the number of engine revolutions is reduced.
