Title:
WORKING TORCH UTILIZING ELECTRIC DISCHARGE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS62130777
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce a high frequency noise by constituting the titled torch so that an arc trigger use plasma injector is provided in the vicinity of an electric discharge use main electrode, and an initial arc electric discharge generated between the injector and the main electrode or a base material is migrated between the main electrode and the base material.

CONSTITUTION: A working torch 7 connects a non-consumable electrode 2 for a main electric discharge to the AC arc welding use power source 1 of a drooping characteristic, and a welding use electric circuit 8 is formed among the power source 1, the electrode 2 and a base material 3. In the vicinity of the electrode 2, a plasma injector 13 for an arc trigger is placed, the non-consumable sub-electrode 12 is connected to a plasma device 10, and a plasma jetting circuit 18 is formed. When a plasma gas is fed to the injector 13, and an initial arc electric discharge is generated between the injector 13, and the electrode 2 or the base material 3, it is migrated instantaneously between the electrode 2 and the base material 3 and converted to a working arc. In this way, an ignition can be stably and easily executed and easily without generating substantially a high frequency noise.
