Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently carry out parts supplying work and parts assembling work in a workpiece carrying and assembling apparatus which carries a workpiece and assembles parts to the workpiece.
SOLUTION: A slit is formed on a floor. A conveyor is installed under the slit. A push rod member extending downward through the slit is provided under a bottom plate 52 of a carriage 50 which can move on the floor by means of casters 54. As the conveyor moves, the push rod member is pushed by the rear member, and the carriage 50 is carried on the floor. In this apparatus, a parts supplying carriage 60 is provided so as to engage and disengage with the carriage 50. The parts supplying carriage 60 has a recessed shape, which substantially coincides with the outside shape of the carriage 50, and the height of its roof 61 is substantially coincides with the height of the roof 51 of the carriage 50. The carriage 50 and the parts supplying carriage 60 have casters 54 and 63, respectively.
