Abstract:
To enable a workpiece to be charged into a walking beam type heating furnace properly at predetermined intervals without noise generation by vibration of the workpiece when the workpiece is charged into the heating furnace by extending a pusher that is expanded/contracted by a cylinder.SOLUTION: The workpiece charging apparatus of the present invention has a guide beam 21, which can be tilted in a vertical direction, provided from an outside to an inside of a walking beam type heating furnace 10 at a portion of a charging opening 11 through which a workpiece W is charged into the heating furnace, in which the workpiece is charged by a pusher 31, which is expanded/contracted by a cylinder 30, to a predetermined position inside the heating furnace while an inner side of the heating furnace of the guide beam is inclined upward by inclination means 20 for inclining the guide beam in the vertical direction to keep the workpiece in contact with the pusher when the workpiece is charged along the guide beam into the heating furnace by extending of the pusher.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
