Abstract:
To provide a workpiece cutting device in which, when a body part is caught with a workpiece pressing member, a cutting blade is automatically stopped being driven without requiring operation of an operator, and furthermore the part for detecting catching of the body part such as a finger, etc. has excellent durability, and stability of detecting the body part such as a finger, etc. is excellent, too.SOLUTION: A workpiece cutting device 10 comprises a workpiece support member 11, a workpiece pressing member 12, a cutting blade 14a and cutting blade driving means 14b, and further is provided with: electrostatic capacitance detection means 16a for detecting a value (electrostatic capacitance related value) related to electrostatic capacitance between a workpiece support surface of the workpiece support member 11 and a workpiece pressing surface of the workpiece pressing member 12; and safety control means 16b which, when the electrostatic capacitance related value detected by the electrostatic capacitance detection means 16a is out of a prescribed range, outputs a cutting blade undrivable signal, which makes the cutting blade driving means 14b undrivable, to the cutting blade driving means 14b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
