To provide a workpiece feeding device and a treating apparatus which enable the frequency of maintenance thereof to reduced and have more improved throughput.

The workpiece feeding device 3 is configured to intermittently feed a workpiece W to a treating part 2 where the holding and treatment of a hoop-like or a short-sized workpiece W are intermittently performed. The workpiece feeding device is provided with: a first roller 31 for receiving the workpiece W; second roller 32 which is arranged in opposition to the first roller 31 and sandwiches the workpiece between itself and the first roller 31; a roller driving device 33 for rotationally driving the first roller 31 intermittently; a roller retreating device 41 for retreating the second roller 32 in the direction in which the second roller is separated from the workpiece W; and an interlocking device 42 which causes the roller retreating device 41 to perform roller retreating action while being operatively connected with the start of the action for holding the workpiece W by the treating part 2 and also causes the roller retreating device 41 to complete the roller retracting action while being operatively connected with the completion of the action for holding the workpiece W by the treating part 2.
