Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece holding device which causes a holding force and a pressing force applied to a placement surface to act on a workpiece without deteriorating the processing accuracy of the workpiece and thereby fixes the workpiece.SOLUTION: At least one of mouthpiece mechanisms has a workpiece pressing structure 22. The workpiece pressing structure comprises: a base part 23 which is placed on a placement surface 3 on which a workpiece 2 is placed and has a support surface 24 arranged in parallel with the placement surface; a guide part 25 supported by the base part and having an inclined surface 26 facing the holding side; a mouthpiece member 27; and biasing means 30 which biases the mouthpiece member in such a direction that the mouthpiece member is moved away from the placement surface. The mouthpiece member includes an inclined surface 28 facing the inclined surface 26 at the guide part 25, is disposed so that the inclined surface 28 is placed in contact with the inclined surface 26 at the guide part 25 and a lower surface 29 faces the support surface of the base part, and is provided so as to be displaced along the inclined surface 26 at the guide part 25. The biasing means is provided between the base part and the mouthpiece member.
