Abstract:

SOLUTION: In a work holding device, a tail center 10 and a head center 20, which axially oppose to each other from opposite sides a work W with a shaft hole Wh, are provided, and the tail center 10 is made to be able to reach and separate from the head center 20, and the tail center 10 is provided with a work presser 14 abutting on a work end face WL, compression spring 17 giving work pressing force to the work presser 14, roughly aligning block 18 fitting to the work shaft hole Wh, coned disc spring 19 giving moving force toward the work W to the roughly aligning block 18 and rotor 12, which presses the work end face WL through the work presser 14, and the head center 20 is provided with a stopper 22 abutting on a work end face WR and collet 24 fitting in the work shaft hole Wh and abutting on the roughly aligning block 18 and core 23 expanding the outer diameter of the collet 24.
