A plurality of trays 1 for storing workpieces W are disposed between a pair of chains 2 so that the trays 1 can be sequentially indexed to a delivery position for handing over the stored workpieces W to a transfer device. The tray 1 has a workpiece holding space with a V-shaped cross-section, and a side edge of the tray 1 is used as a transfer position. A workpiece stocker includes a push-out device 4 pushing out the workpiece W stored from the tray 1 indexed to the delivery position from a side of the tray 1 to the transfer position, and a push-in device 5 pushing in the workpiece W transferred to the tray 1 along the workpiece holding space at a storage position where the machined workpiece W is received from the transfer device.
