Abstract:
PURPOSE: To convey an article to be conveyed to a specified position while keeping a specified posture unchanged in a simple structure bay providing a pair of supporting mechanisms which move both ends of the rail bodies up and down and a movable carriage capable of freely moving in the longitudinal direction of rail bodies with the article placed thereon in the specified posture.
CONSTITUTION: When a workpiece W is placed on a movable carriage 2 and the driving rod 6a is extended with the driving rods 6a and 6b of supporting mechanisms 5a and 5b retracted, rail bodies 1 are inclined rightward. At this moment, the air cylinder 4 on the supporting mechanism 5a is driven to protrude a driving rod 4a, a hook 4b releasing the movable carriage 2 and giving the movable carriage 2 initial speed. When the movable carriage 2 moves toward the supporting mechanism 5b, and is held by the hook 4b, the driving rod 6a of the supporting mechanism 5a is retracted, the rail body 1a is kept horizontal again. The workpiece W is conveyed to a specified position by means of an automatic handling device 10.
