To provide a worm form-rolling device which can suppress faults caused by a phenomenon that a workpiece moves to the axial direction during form-rolling while achieving its simplification, and to provide a worm form-rolling method.
Each outer circumferential part of each roll die 23 is provided with: a recessed part 40; a biting tooth 41; a forming tooth 42; and a finishing tooth 43, and a worm is formed at a workpiece in the range at which each roll die 23 rotates for one time. One edge side in the axial direction of the outer circumferential part in each roll die 23 is provided with a chamfer part 50 allowing the forming tooth 42 or a relief tooth 44 to follow the worm in accordance with the movement of the workpiece to the axial direction upon the forming of the worm. Thus, faults caused by a phenomenon that a workpiece moves to the axial direction during form-rolling can be suppressed without drive-controlling each die by a controller though it has been performed heretofore, and the simplification of the form-rolling device can be achieved.
