To provide a worm shaft aligning mechanism for electric motors, which enables a user to perform the alignment of a worm shaft and the axial adjustment at the same and properly in inexpensive construction.
A recess 12 is created at the tip of the worm shaft 10 of the electric motor 1, and a projection 21 is formed at a supporting member 20, and in a state that the projection abuts on the inner face of the recess, the supporting member is fixed to a housing 2. Then, the tip of the worm shaft is supported rotatably for the housing by the supporting member, and also the axial shift is regulated. For example, the tip face of the projection and the inner face of the recess are made conical, and are constructed to abut on each other in face contact.
