The present invention relates to a wound healing agent and a wound healing composition, each containing a polypeptide having a specified amino acid sequence or containing a polypeptide having a specified amino acid sequence and at least 50%, preferably 70%, more preferably 90% identity with the amino acid sequence. The agent and the composition may further contain a hemostasis active substance, a growth factor, anti-infection matter, pain-killing matter, and anti-inflammatory matter as active substances. The composition is dosed topically, into a whole body, orally, hypodermically, percutaneously, intramuscularly, or intraperitoneally.
